What makes this music studio different
Most recording studios in London are basements, railway arches or converted industrial units, rooms built to keep sound in and daylight out.
Choisez Studio was built the opposite way. A professionally treated studio near the top of one of Western Europe's tallest residential towers, open on every side, with the Thames, the City and East London laid out beneath you. It is the highest recording studio in Europe, and the view is part of the session.
Recording happens on the 73rd floor. The space is acoustically treated for vocal recording while keeping the daylight and the skyline, which is why it doubles as a photo and video location without changing a thing.

The signal chain is built around professional hardware rather than entry-level gear:
- Microphones. Neumann condensers for lead vocals, harmonies and ad-libs.
- Interfaces and preamps. Universal Audio, for clean conversion and analogue-modelled processing while tracking.
- Monitoring. Genelec studio monitors, so mixes translate to phones, cars and streaming.
- Instruments. Native Instruments Komplete keyboards and controllers, plus live and software instruments.
- Treatment. Professional acoustic treatment, isolation and headphone monitoring on every session.
Sessions are run by a producer and engineer, not left to you and a laptop. Our founder trained in Music Production and Sound Engineering at SAE Institute London as the only scholarship student in his cohort, and has worked with Sony Music and Def Jam and with UK and international artists including Dappy, Aitch, Not3s, MC Kresha, Asco and Kidd Keo.

How a session works
- Book online. Pick your package and an available date. You get instant confirmation, the full address and access instructions.
- Send your material. Share your beat or instrumental and lyrics in advance so the session starts with everything loaded and ready.
- Set up and warm up. On arrival we set your headphone mix, microphone position and vocal chain so you are comfortable before the first take.
- Record. Lead vocals, doubles, harmonies and ad-libs, comped take by take with direction as you go.
- Mix and master. Editing, tuning, balancing, effects and mastering to streaming-ready loudness.
- Delivery. You receive your finished, release-ready files, plus any photo or video content shot on the day.

Choisez Studio is in Canary Wharf, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is one of the easiest studios in London to reach by public transport, with four stations within walking distance:
- Canary Wharf Underground on the Jubilee line, around 6 minutes' walk.
- Canary Wharf Elizabeth line. Direct from Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street and Stratford.
- South Quay DLR, around 4 minutes' walk.
- Heron Quays DLR and Canary Wharf DLR, a short walk, connecting to Bank, Stratford, Lewisham and Greenwich.

Hourly dry hire typically starts around £25 to £60 per hour, while engineered sessions commonly run £40 to £100 per hour, and top-tier commercial rooms go far higher. At Choisez Studio, dry hire is a flat £100 per hour, starting at £300 for three hours. Engineered work is sold as fixed-price packages instead of by the hour: £300 for Mix and Master, £450 for a full Vocal Recording, Mix and Master, and £1,990 for a bespoke production. You know the total cost before you book.
Do I need any experience to record here?
No. A large proportion of guests have never recorded before. A producer and engineer guide the whole session, setting your headphone mix, coaching takes, comping the best performance and shaping the final record. Signed artists and complete beginners get the same process and the same standard.
What should I bring to my session?
Bring your beat or instrumental as a WAV or MP3, or a link to it, your lyrics, and one or two reference tracks that show the sound you are aiming for. Microphones, preamps, headphones, monitoring, instruments and software are all provided. Water and a rested voice help more than any gear you could carry.
How long does it take to record a song?
Most single tracks are recorded in three to five hours, covering lead vocals, doubles, harmonies and ad-libs. Mixing and mastering are completed after the session and delivered separately. If you want to track several songs in one day, book six to eight hours.
Can you mix and master a track I recorded somewhere else?
Yes. Send your stems and we return a finished, release-ready record. The £300 Mix and Master service covers vocal balancing and tuning, EQ, compression, creative effects, stereo mastering and streaming-ready loudness. You upload your stems or send a WeTransfer or Drive link, along with notes and reference tracks, and everything is handled remotely.
Do I own the rights to my music?
Yes. You keep ownership of your recording and can release it on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or anywhere else. With the Production service the instrumental is written exclusively for you, so there are no beat leases, no shared rights and no licensing conditions attached to your release.
Can I shoot a music video or photos at the studio?
Yes, and many artists book audio and visuals together. Content Creation (£350) is a full artist photoshoot against the skyline, delivered as edited, colour-graded JPEGs plus RAW files. The Professional Videoclip (£1,500) covers concept and direction, filming in the studio plus two outside London locations, a full edit, colour grading and visual effects.
Can I hire the studio on its own, without an engineer?
Yes. Dry hire gives you exclusive use of the space with your own crew and equipment, in blocks from three to eight hours: £300 for three hours, £400 for four, £500 for five, £600 for six, £700 for seven and £800 for eight. The rate is a flat £100 per hour however long you book.
