This policy explains what personal information Choisez Studio collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it.
Choisez Studio is a recording, production and podcast studio based in Canary Wharf, London. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@choisez.com about anything on this page.
We only collect what we need to deliver the service you have asked for:
When you book a session: your name, artist name, email address, phone number, and the details of the session you have booked.
When you send stems for mixing and mastering: the above, plus your genre, your notes and reference tracks, and the audio files or file-transfer link you upload.
When you accept our terms of hire: your name, email, phone number, the hours booked and the time you accepted.
When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your message.
We do not collect special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, who process your card information directly. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount.
To arrange and deliver your session, to send you your files, to contact you about your booking, to take payment, and to keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.
Our lawful basis is performance of a contract when you have booked with us, legitimate interests when we reply to an enquiry, and legal obligation for financial records. If we ever send you marketing, it will be because you asked us to, and every message will have an unsubscribe link.
We share information only with the services we use to run the studio:
Acuity Scheduling for bookings and your calendar details. Stripe for payments. Netlify for hosting this website and receiving form submissions. Google Workspace for our email. Google Analytics and Google Search Console, where used, for anonymous website statistics.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Any audio, stems or recordings you send us remain entirely yours. We use them only to carry out the work you have booked. We will not release, licence or share your music with anyone, and we will not use it in our own promotion unless you have given us permission.
Booking and enquiry records are kept for up to two years so we can handle follow-up work and disputes. Financial records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. Audio files are kept for up to twelve months after a project is delivered, so you can ask for them again, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your files sooner at any time.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask us to send it to another provider.
Email contact@choisez.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Pages that embed a booking calendar or a payment page may set cookies from Acuity or Stripe that are needed for those to work. Where we use Google Analytics, it is set up so your data is anonymised. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
