Live instruments
Played in the room, not pulled from a pack
Guitar, bass, keys and percussion are recorded live in the studio, then layered with software instruments where the arrangement calls for it. Live playing gives a beat feel, swing and movement that quantised loops rarely reach, and it is what stops an instrumental sounding like everything else on the platform.

The process
How a production comes together
- Direction. Before the first session you send references, the genre you are aiming at and anything you have already written, so studio time is spent creating rather than briefing.
- The core idea. Chords, melody and groove are built in the room, usually with you there, until the foundation feels right.
- Live tracking. Guitar, bass, keys and percussion are played and recorded, then layered with programmed elements where it suits the genre.
- Arrangement. Structure, hooks, transitions, drops and effects, shaped around where the vocal needs space.
- Revisions. You hear it, we adjust it. Changes are part of the process, not an extra.
- Vocals and finish. If you have booked the full package, vocals are recorded, then the record is mixed and mastered and delivered ready to release.

Do I own the rights to the beat and the song?
Yes. The instrumental is exclusive to you, so you own your release outright and can distribute it on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and every other platform with no licensing conditions, no stream limits and no clearance to chase later.
How long does it take to produce a beat?
A bespoke instrumental usually takes one to two studio sessions plus production time between them. The first session covers direction, references and the core idea; revisions follow before the arrangement is finalised and mixed. Timelines are confirmed when you book.
Can you produce for me if I am not in London?
Yes. Direction, references and revisions can be handled remotely, with files delivered online. Artists who can travel usually attend at least one session in the studio, because being in the room while the beat is built tends to produce a better result.
Do you help with songwriting and topline?
Yes. Songwriting, melody and topline direction are part of the process, including structure, hooks and vocal arrangement. The approach is to shape the song around the artist rather than fit the artist into a finished track.
